Daniela is a PhD researcher at the Urban Analytics Lab whose work bridges urban science, public policy, and practice. She holds a master’s degree from University College London (UCL), where she researched urban heat inequality using spatial and computational methods. Her research builds on extensive experience in public decision-making, including serving as Director of Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change in Mexico’s federal government, where she led national initiatives on disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, and reconstruction. At UAL, she investigates how spatial data science and GeoAI can help understand socio-environmental inequalities and support more equitable urban and climate action.
